Getting to Paros

Paros is situated at the heart of the Cyclades islands, 160 Km south east of Athens and north of Crete.

Boats

It is on the busiest ferry routes from Athens (Piraeus and in summer, Rafina) and takes around 2 hours 50 Mins (fastest high speed, around €70) or 4 hours 30 mins (Blue Star, around €40-50). We recommend the Ferryhopper app for timetables and booking day, though it tends not to always show options until a few weeks beforehand. Out of season, it's often best not to book until a day or so before as schedules can change according to weather.

Flights

From the UK there are several airlines serving Greece. In the season (April - late October) Easyjet flies to Mykonos and Santorini and also to Athens all year round. The Greek national carrier, Olympic / Aegean offers an overnight flight from Heathrow for prices starting around €150 each way - approx 22:00 Heathrow > Athens 03:50 > Paros 07:15 arriving 08:00.

Easyjet often offers cheaper prices but would frequently involve an overnight stay in Athens (or Mykonos / Santorini in season).  Early morning flights would get you in to Athens around lunchtime and you could then connect with an onwards Olympic / Aegean flight or take a bus / metro / taxi to Piraeus (around one hour) and get the 17:30 Blue Star which would get to Paros at 22:00. (if you are checking for November in September, for example, no Paros boats from Athens will be showing up yet.

Easyjet also offers many more flights to Greece between April and October, via Bristol, Edinburgh; Manchester continues through the winter.

You might also check British Airways, Wizzair and other carriers.

Athens to Paros Flights

Airport expansion is in progress, which is contentious on the island. By 2026 there may well be direct flights from the UK, for better or worse. Meanwhile you can fly from Athens via Olympic / Aegean or Sky Express. The flight takes around 30 minutes.
