Sunset views from Milos House Paros

The Space

A hilltop haven
with unrivalled views

Milos House (named after its neighbouring windmill) sits perfectly on top of a hill just outside the picturesque fishing village of Alyki on the south coast of Paros. It's a real home from home, with views that will take your breath away and stay in your heart forever.

The sunsets are some of the best you'll see on the island. You can see many surrounding islands and 360° views of Paros and Antiparos. The house is very spacious, flooded with natural sunlight and set in a beautiful west-facing garden.

Access to the house is through a tiny hamlet and the final ascent is pretty steep — hiring a car is advisable. There are buses and you can walk to the nearest beach in 15 minutes. It is a 15 minute drive from the main port.

Terraces, hammocks
& endless horizon

There are wonderful terraces both upstairs (some covered) and downstairs with access via the kitchen, plus an additional breakfast area with spectacular views inland over Kamari village and the south coast.

The garden has two hammocks. On several occasions guests have slept out on the terrace under the stars for the whole holiday. The upstairs terrace is largely shaded under the pergola in the morning.

With no immediate neighbours, it's the perfect retreat and place to gather — or simply to reflect, read and just be.

It is self-contained and open plan, with two single mattresses side by side, full kitchen including cooker, washing machine and fridge/freezer, and a shower/wet room.

It has two outside patios with sliding doors offering views over the windmill and sunsets. Good 4G/5G signal reception.

The terrace after dark

When night falls over the Aegean, the terrace at Milos House becomes magical. No light pollution, no immediate neighbours — just you and the vast, star-strewn sky.

Having lived on the island for nearly 20 years, Pete is well placed to advise on what to do and see, recommend beaches, tavernas and local boat trips.

The local village of Alyki has plenty of excellent traditional tavernas, well-stocked supermarkets, an ATM and a great bakery.
